Our Successful Approach
We put our students at the heart of everything we do.
Our goal is to make college life and learning an enjoyable and engaging experience so staff work hard to motivate and inspire students.
The way we do it is simple. When students come to us they sign a ‘commitment to study’ form. We then make sure they turn up on time, monitor their attendance - and work them hard.
We raise their aspirations and achievement with daily targets and assessment
We ensure they stay on track to achieve, by daily monitoring their progress.
If any student falls behind we put in place clear action plans, involving parents/carers when appropriate.
We also encourage students to play an active part in their learning.
And we have a level of support for our students that we believe is simply the best.
The reward for our students is progression and success.
Our objective is to get them where they want to be.
We prepare learners very well for their future lives and the majority progress successfully onto their chosen destination.
We are proud of our students. They work hard, they achieve – and they have fun.
The college has made rapid improvements over the last few years and the latest government statistics now place Harlow as number two FE college in England.
