First Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning & Development (Level 2)

First Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning & Development (Level 2) This course will enable you to study a variety of units/subjects that will relate to children aged from birth to 16 years.

Units will include: Areas of Development, Equality, Diversity and Rights, Communication and Interpersonal Skills. It will prepare you for a career as an assistant in nurseries, schools, before and after school clubs and other work related opportunities within the birth to 16 years age group.

You will have the opportunity to progress upon successful completion with an overall Merit or Distinction to study the National Diploma in CCLD, or National Diploma in Health & Social Care. As well as the usual entry requirements you will need a Grade C in English Language, or a Merit or Distinction in the Foundation Award in Caring for Children.
