Health & Social Care Apprenticeship

Apprenticeships can also help those working in adult social care to formalise their knowledge and progress their career. At the end of your Apprenticeship you'll have gained both experience and qualifications.

Health & Social Care Certificate

This course is suitable for those who have no previous experience in health and social care but wish to pursue a career in this sector. The course is assignment based, with a minimum of 60 hours of work experience. Those who only need to do one GCSE resit will also do half a day a week volunteering, which will enhance their employability on completion of the programme.

Health & Social Care Diploma

This two year course is designed to provide a broad educational basis for further training, further education or for moving into employment within the health and social care sector. It offers 100-200 hours of work experience linked to students' specific area of interest.

Health & Social Care Extended Diploma

This course provides thorough training for those wishing to work in care homes and in a social care settings (e.g. hospices, care homes for the elderly or for people with disabilities or mental illness). You will undertake part of your course in college and part in training placements in the community so that you gain experience of working in a variety of health and social care settings. This enables you to gain practical, hands on training.

This qualification provides a suitable way to meet the development and qualification needs of a variety of roles and job titles, including Health & Social Care assistants. On completion of the level 2 Diploma can lead to promotion as Senior carer.

Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Apprenticeship

An Apprenticeship in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair will give you the opportunity to work for an employer, earn a salary and at the same time study to gain a nationally recognised qualification whilst gaining valuable workplace skills and experience. History AS & A Level

Hospitality and Events Management Level 3

This course is focused on developing a broad range of skills used in the hospitality and events industry. It will equip you with key front of house skills and organising techniques to enable you to co-ordinate functions, events and conferences. You will also develop a deeper understanding of the role required for management and supervision. Hospitality managers work across a huge variety of organisations including bars, restaurants, cafés, conference centres, banqueting venues, hotels and contract caterers. These managers generally specialise in a particular area, however their core knowledge, skills and behaviours are aligned. Common to all managers in this role is their passion for exceeding customers’ expectations. Hospitality managers have a high level of responsibility and are accountable for fulfilling the business vision and objectives which requires excellent business, people and customer relation skills. Individuals in this role are highly motivated team leaders that combine a talent for management and specific industry skills and thrive on the customer facing nature of the role.

Hospitality Supervision Apprenticeship

An Apprenticeship in Hospitality Supervision will give you the skills and experience you'll need to work competently within the hospitality industry whilst working towards the industry standard qualification. This is a practical programme which helps you to develop your knowledge and skills to supervise the service of food and drinks. The course covers the development of working relationships, control of resources, management of receipts, storage of goods, the development of wine lists and the handling of payments.

Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship

Hospitality supervisors work across a wide variety of businesses including bars, restaurants, cafés, conference centres, banqueting venues, hotels or contract caterers. They provide vital support to management teams and are capable of independently supervising hospitality services and running shifts. They typically work under pressure delivering fantastic customer service and motivating a team is essential to their role. The majority of supervisors’ skills and knowledge are the same but supervisors may specialise in specific functions or work across a variety of functions which reflect the multi-functional nature of the industry.

Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship

A hospitality team member can work in a range of establishments, for example bars, restaurants, cafés, conference centres, banqueting venues, hotels or contract caterers. The role is very varied and although hospitality team members tend to specialise in an area, they have to be adaptable and ready to support team members across the business, for example during busy periods. The most important part of the role is developing hospitality skills and knowledge such as recognising customer needs, knowing how to match them to the products and services of the business and working as part of a team to ensure that every customer, whether they are eating in a restaurant, drinking cocktails in a bar, ordering room service in a hotel or attending a business conference feels welcomed and looked after.
