Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD 2016)

This 10 week course will provide learners with a working knowledge of AutoCAD 2016 to enable them to produce engineering drawings to industry standards. The course includes producing engineering drawings using the standard conventions of orthographic and isometric projection and will be able to access drawings to modify previously created drawings. By the end of the course learners will understand how to apply the basic procedures of starting up and closing down a CAD system and the storage, retrieval, modification and printing/plotting of drawings.

Connecting Networks

This course covers the WAN technologies and network services required by converged applications in a complex network. It enables delegates to understand the selection criteria of network devices and WAN technologies to meet network requirements. They will learn how to configure and troubleshoot network devices and resolve common issues with data link protocols. They will also develop the knowledge and skills needed to implement Virtual Private Network (VPN) operations in a complex network.

Information & Creative Technology Diploma

IT is an ever-changing industry full of possibilities and this course will build your skills and understanding preparing you for further study.

Information Technology Extended Diploma

ICT has transformed the way we do business, recreation and culture. This Level 3 course will prepare you for a variety of careers in the IT world, or for moving on to higher education studies. You will learn the business, technical, interpersonal and project skills needed in modern IT and telecommunications roles. It is a practical, work-related course; you learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.

Introduction to Networks

This course introduces you to the architecture, structure, functions, components and models of the Internet and other computer networks. It covers the principles and structure of IP addressing and the fundamentals of Ethernet concepts, media, and operations. IT Practitioner Apprenticeship

IT User NVQ Level 3

This NVQ provides you with the competence, skills and knowledge to work effectively and efficiently with IT systems, communications and productivity tools and applications in a range of job roles and industry sectors.

Law A Level (BTEC Certificate & Subsidiary Diploma)

The BTEC Law course gives you an understanding of the English legal system and will not only give you a taste of what it is like to study law but also what it is may be like to work in the legal profession. This course is designed to provide you with the skills that you will require working in the legal sector. However it is also a recognised Level 3 qualification which is accepted by most universities. This qualification may be mixed with other AS/A2 Levels to provide access to higher education, or used directly to help secure employment within various sectors, including the legal sector.

MS Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012

This course provides the skills and knowledge necessary to implement a core Windows Server infrastructure. On successful completion of this course you will have the ability to implement and configure Windows Server core services, such as Active Directory and the networking services.

Network Engineer Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship will provide the skills to design, install, maintain and support communication networks within an organisation or between organisations. Network engineers need to maintain high levels of operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for their users, such as staff, clients, customers and suppliers. They will understand network configuration, cloud, network administration and monitoring tools, and be able to give technical advice and guidance.

On this course you will gain theoretical understanding of networking concepts and procedures for implementing and managing networks. Routing and Switching Essentials

This course provides for delegates an understanding of the architecture, components and operations of routers and switches in a small network. It develops skills related to configuring a router and a switch for basic functionality. On successful completion you will be able to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches and resolve common issues with RIPv1, RIPng, single-area and multi-area OSPF, virtual LANs, and inter-VLAN routing in both IPv4.

This course develops an understanding of the architecture, components and operations of routers and switches in large, complex networks. You will develop understanding and skills required to configure routers and switches for advanced functionality. Successful completion would enable you to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches and resolve common issues with OSPF, EIGRP, and STP in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks. You will also develop the knowledge and skills needed to implement a WLAN in a small-to-medium network.
