Art & Design Diploma

A broad introduction to the study of art and design with the opportunity to produce experimental work in a range of subject areas – which covers painting, drawing, printmaking, textiles, ceramics, 3D design, and graphic design.

Art & Design Extended Diploma

Study a wide range of art, design and craft disciplines through a series of assignments, including live briefs and competitions. A broad based, diagnostic course which will help you identify your strengths, interests and career choices.

Computer Game Design Level 2

This is a full-time course over one year. A range of assessment methods including assignments, presentations to industry professionals, course work and live briefs. These will aim to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding relevant to specific creative activities in games art application and in the creation of your own professional portfolio. The dedicated professional lecturing team offer industry will offer training in a wide range of practical and theoretical areas to ensure you are well prepared for progression onto L3 or into industry. You will work in our dedicated Creative Industries Centre and have access to specialist equipment.

Computer Game Design Level 3

This is a full-time course over one year (Diploma) or two years (Extended Diploma). A range of assessment methods including assignments, presentations to industry professionals, coursework and live briefs. These will aim to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding relevant to specific creative activities in games art application and in the creation of your own professional portfolio. The dedicated professional lecturing team offer industry-standard training in a wide range of practical and theoretical areas to ensure you are well prepared for progression onto Level 3 or into industry. Creative Media Production (Computer Game Design) Higher National Certificate & Diploma

HNC/HND Computer Game Design is designed for those who wish to become animators, modellers or developers in the Games Industry and want to develop a wide range of skills on a nationally-recognised Level 4/ Level 5 qualification. During this course, you will develop the skills needed for game content and concept development.

Fashion Extended Diploma

This specialist diploma will introduce you to many areas of the fashion industry, such as fashion design, marketing, trend prediction, styling, textile design, manufacturing and fashion illustration. During the course, all students will have the opportunity of working on live briefs with 2 prestigious fashion houses. These include the head of menswear design at Debenhams and the Managing Director of Diesel. These projects will introduce the students to specialist areas of the fashion industry as well as industry experience in working with practicing professionals.

Graphic Design Extended Diploma

This is an introduction to the exciting world of Graphic Design. It will develop your visual and conceptual understanding of the subject and provide specialised studies linked to the graphic design profession, which will help learners seek employment. The course also offers a practical understanding of the skills required to develop careers within graphic design and its related industries.You will also gain a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for working life.

A series of art courses running throughout 2017/18, each lasting six weeks (two courses per term). Each course can be booked individually, in any order and at various times, or undertaken as an entire year course of study to form a body of work. The choice is yours!

Music BTEC Extended Diploma

This exciting course develops your understanding of the broad subject of music. You will explore music performance, composition, music theory and harmony, live sound, the music industry, improvisation and music technology, and take part in a number of public performances.

Performing & Production Arts Diploma

This is an excellent course for increasing self-confidence, communication and performance skills. It will provide a foundation for further study in this field and possible progression to a career in the performing arts. This qualification will give you a broad experience and understanding of performing arts as a collaborative activity and prepares you for the reality of working in the sector. 

Performing & Production Arts – Acting

This course is designed to produce highly skilled, passionate and versatile young performers and artists. You will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of the demands of professional training in the performing arts industry in our purpose-built and modern dance studios and theatre. It is for anyone who wants to study performing arts, acting, dance, musical theatre and production arts.

This course is designed to produce highly skilled, passionate and versatile young performers and artists. You will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of the demands of professional training in the performing arts industry in our purpose-built and modern dance studios and theatre. It is for anyone who wants to study performing arts, acting, dance, musical theatre and production arts.

Photography L2 Diploma

A general introduction to photography covering both digital and traditional photography. There will also be opportunities to experiment with moving image and animation. You will undertake 'live briefs' set by outside organisations and enter competitions. You do not need to have studied photography before.

Photography L3 Diploma

Develop a range of specialist and professional art, design and photography skills, with an emphasis on thinking creatively and working to briefs with deadlines. Suitable for anyone with a passion for photography, no previous photographic knowledge is necessary as skills are acquired from the start of the course.
