Access to Higher Education Diploma – Business

Access to Higher Education Diploma – Education, Teaching and Childhood Studies

This Education, Teaching and Childhood Studies pathway provides a wide knowledge and understanding of the UK Education System. It will prepare you for study on any teaching/education related university course. The Access diploma will give you a solid grounding for when you commence your university degree, (BA, BSc), Foundation Degree or Higher National Diploma.

It will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in a career in Health and Social Care. Access to Higher Education Diploma – Life Science

The Life Science pathway will show you that biology is both exciting and very relevant to our daily lives. The programme begins by helping you to understand the basic concepts of biology. You will learn about health and disease through existing medical research and in Term 2 you will carry out your own investigation in the laboratory. Alongside this you will learn core skills in IT, presentation and communication. This programme is challenging but also fun and extremely interesting too!

Access to Higher Education Diploma – Nursing and Midwifery

Get on the fast track to a professional career in Midwifery or Nursing. If you want to go to university but don't yet have the necessary qualifications this course is for you. For adults who want a career in Nursing and Midwifery.

Access to Higher Education Diploma – Social Science

This course will focus on sociology, which is the study of human behaviour. You will begin to ask questions such as: 'Why are human beings different from each other?' You will explore the answers by studying topics such as, Changing Family Patterns, Crime and Deviance, The Sociology of the Media and Social Policy.

Year 1 of this two year course is studied at Level 4 (HNC). Year 2 is at Level 5 (HND).
