About the course
A new flexible approach to learning. Start in the New Year and you could be starting university the following year! Blended learning suits your lifestyle – it's a mixture of attending College (monthly Saturdays and evenings, for individual support), online learning via our Virtual Learning Environment, support via email and telephone, plus one-to-one tutorials.
This course will help you understand the business environment and the skills, knowledge and understanding needed for you to progress further in the business world. Whenever possible term dates are in line with those of the Essex schools. We understand that many of our students have family commitments.
Mature students are valued for their life experiences, and an increasing number are entering higher education each year. Many are now pursuing new careers and seeing changes in their lives that they never thought possible.
Level 2 English and Level 2 Maths (or working towards).
We will consider exceptions to this requirement, subject to any other qualifications or evidence of the required competencies.

This course is suitable for anyone interested in a career in marketing, accountancy, leadership & management, HR and business administration, or those who are thinking of starting their own business.

Fees apply to this course. If you're aged 19+ you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

You will have an assigned tutor and during induction you will be given a detailed plan of the course and process for assessment. You will be certificated at the end of the course and it will equate to two A levels and enable you to start a degree in your chosen subject. Support will be given on how and where to apply to university.
This business pathway provides a wide knowledge and understanding of the world of business.
It will prepare you for study on any business related university course or other professional business qualification.
The Access diploma will give you a solid grounding for when you commence your university degree, (BA, BSc), Foundation Degree or Higher National Diploma.
