Our Location

The Town

Harlow is situated on the border between Essex and Hertfordshire, directly between London and Cambridge. It is conveniently placed for access to London, the national centre for the media industry, but it is just far enough beyond the end of the tube lines to escape London’s high cost of living.

The town is divided into small neighbourhoods, each with its own shops, schools, pubs, churches, health, community and leisure centres. The designers of the town aimed to develop an attractive environment for its residents by creating park and landscaped areas - resulting in Harlow often being referred to as a "green town". The designers of the town also had a dream of providing art for the public, which has lead to Harlow having an impressive collection of sculptures by a variety of artists including Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth and Auguste Rodin.
