The Guidance Centre at the Harlow College campus, offers a “one stop shop” to support students. A wide variety of career and personal information, advice and guidance is offered:

• The opportunity to call in and get information and advice as and when required. The Centre is open daily (including vacations); although a ‘drop-in’ service is advertised, at peak periods you may have to wait a short time – appointments are available.
• Access to a wide range of careers materials and information in a variety of formats
• One-to-one advice and guidance interviews with trained advisors
• Internet linked PCs with a range of software to help you make career decisions and research your options
• Assistance with job search skills
• A 'Jobshop' with access to job vacancies and help with CVs, application forms and interviews
• ‘Signposting’ to other agencies for help with accommodation, relationship issues, sexual health, mental health and so on
• ‘Signposting’ to Anglia Ruskin University services including money help and advice, chaplaincy and student services generally
• Links to the Employment Bureau at Chelmsford
• University ambassadors
• Casual employment
• Job vacancies

Accommodation

Harlow College does not have student accommodation on campus. However, we do hold a list of private landlords/landladies and letting agencies who have expressed an interested in renting rooms/property to our students.*

University Centre Harlow students will be able to apply for undergraduate accommodation on the Chelmsford campus of Anglia Ruskin University. When a student has accepted an offer on a degree course, details of accommodation at Chelmsford will be made available. 

There is an hourly service (Arriva 59) between Harlow and Chelmsford; the journey takes about 40 minutes but varies according to the time of travel. Currently students travel at child fares on production of a current Harlow College student card.

Additionally, some students stay at the Harlow Campus of Memorial University, Newfoundland, in Old Harlow.
