Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship

This is an apprenticeship, designed as an entry level role into the Accountancy Profession, and can lead into a variety of careers with supporting professional qualifications. The role is applicable to a wide range of employers across the sector in both large and small firms and in industry, practice and public sector.

An Assistant Accountant provides support to internal and external customers and works predominately either as an assistant accountant within practice or alternatively within the finance function of an organisation. Part of their role involves assisting in the day to day financial activities such as data entry to month end management accounts and/or year-end financial statements. In addition an Assistant Accountant may find themselves involved in regulatory financial requirements such as the completion of VAT returns or assisting in the preparation of tax computations.

Business Administration Apprenticeship

A business administrator plays an important support role within a business organisation. Administrators handle the day-to-day tasks in an office and make sure things run smoothly – 97% of employers say that effective administration is essential to their business.

As a Business Administration Apprentice, your exact duties will depend on your employer. It's likely that you'll be working with a team or member of staff to handle various tasks. You may be producing board meeting documents, putting financial information together in spreadsheets, providing marketing and event management support, sending the daily post, or faxing and photocopying confidential documents. This type of work requires a strong sense of responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail.

One of the great things about Business Administration is that you can work almost anywhere, with your transferable skills; you could be working in a record company, large global organisation or maybe a charity. Administration roles are also an excellent starting point to progress into different market sectors, start your own business or move into management once you have more experience.

CISCO Introduction to Networks

This course introduces you to the architecture, structure, functions, components and models of the Internet and other computer networks. It covers the principles and structure of IP addressing and the fundamentals of Ethernet concepts, media, and operations. Successful completion will enable delegates to build simple LANs, perform basic configurations for routers and switches, and implement IP addressing schemes.

CISCO Routing and Switching Essentials

This course provides for delegates an understanding of the architecture, components and operations of routers and switches in a small network. It develops skills related to configuring a router and a switch for basic functionality. On successful completion you will be able to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches and resolve common issues with RIPv1, RIPng, single-area and multi-area OSPF, virtual LANs, and inter-VLAN routing in both IPv4. 

Computer Game Design Level 2

This is a full-time course over one year. A range of assessment methods including assignments, presentations to industry professionals, course work and live briefs. These will aim to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding relevant to specific creative activities in games art application and in the creation of your own professional portfolio. The dedicated professional lecturing team offer industry will offer training in a wide range of practical and theoretical areas to ensure you are well prepared for progression onto L3 or into industry. You will work in our dedicated Creative Industries Centre and have access to specialist equipment.

Computer Game Design Level 3

Connecting Networks

This course covers the WAN technologies and network services required by converged applications in a complex network. It enables delegates to understand the selection criteria of network devices and WAN technologies to meet network requirements. They will learn how to configure and troubleshoot network devices and resolve common issues with data link protocols. They will also develop the knowledge and skills needed to implement Virtual Private Network (VPN) operations in a complex network.

Customer Service Apprenticeship

A customer service advisor plays an important role within a business organisation. Employers recognise the key role customer-facing staff play in determining the quality of the customer experience and increasing customer loyalty. The economy is increasingly service-led, with more and more customer demands for better and individualised service. Employers estimated there to be 113,000 new jobs in customer service in England during 2004-2014, which is continuing to increase. As a Customer Service Apprentice, your exact duties will depend on your employer. It's likely that you'll be working with a team or member of staff to handle various tasks. You may be communicating effectively with customers face to face, in writing, or by telephone, resolving problems and improving customer relations, promoting products and services, keeping records, gathering customer feedback. This type of work requires strong communication, negotiation and flexibility skills. One of the great things about Customer Service is that you can work almost anywhere, with your transferable skills; you could be working in a hotel, large global organisation or maybe a charity. Information Technology Extended Diploma

ICT has transformed the way we do business, recreation and culture. This Level 3 course will prepare you for a variety of careers in the IT world, or for moving on to higher education studies. You will learn the business, technical, interpersonal and project skills needed in modern IT and telecommunications roles. It is a practical, work-related course; you learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.

Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship

An Infrastructure Technician provides support to internal and external customers, helping them to be productive when using technology to do their own jobs, by using tools to problem solve and trouble shoot non routine problems. The Infrastructure Technician sets people up on systems and provides support when they need it, rectifying issues to maintain the organizations’ productivity.

IT Application Specialist Apprenticeship

The IT specialist role plays an important support role within a business organisation. IT application specialists provide support and assistance to colleagues to make effective use of available IT systems and software. IT user skills are required for over 72% of job roles and over 90% of new posts specially require IT user skills. As an IT Application Specialist Apprentice, your exact duties will depend on your employer. It's likely that you'll be working with a team or member of staff to handle various tasks. You may be providing support to other staff members, working on a helpdesk, creating and amending many types of formatted information including documents, diagrams, spreadsheets and presentations. IT Practitioner Apprenticeship

This is an ideal qualification for the budding IT professional and is suitable for those in a wide range of job roles. While you are working you can learn and gain an industry recognised IT qualification. Businesses across the country are increasingly realising the enormous benefits that an apprenticeship provides, not only in terms of creating a highly skilled workforce but also by boosting productivity and staff retention. We know employers directly benefit from these highly trained apprentices.

IT User NVQ Level 3

This NVQ provides you with the competence, skills and knowledge to work effectively and efficiently with IT systems, communications and productivity tools and applications in a range of job roles and industry sectors.

Law A Level (BTEC Certificate & Subsidiary Diploma)

The BTEC Law course gives you an understanding of the English legal system and will not only give you a taste of what it is like to study law but also what it is may be like to work in the legal profession. This course is designed to provide you with the skills that you will require working in the legal sector. However it is also a recognised Level 3 qualification which is accepted by most universities. This qualification may be mixed with other AS/A2 Levels to provide access to higher education, or used directly to help secure employment within various sectors, including the legal sector.

Network Engineer Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship will provide the skills to design, install, maintain and support communication networks within an organisation or between organisations. Network engineers need to maintain high levels of operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for their users, such as staff, clients, customers and suppliers. They will understand network configuration, cloud, network administration and monitoring tools, and be able to give technical advice and guidance.

Recruitment Resourcer Apprenticeship

The recruitment resourcer apprenticeship is aimed at someone who works within a recruitment function of an organisation. Their role is to identify, attract and shortlist candidates for the recruitment process to fulfil the requirements of the business brief and provide resourcing support to the recruitment function. They may also be required to identify new business opportunities.

Retail Apprenticeship

The Retail industry offers many exciting career opportunities and we provide clear pathways to a successful career in the sector. You could work in a variety of shops and other retail establishments such as small boutiques, large high street chains and well known department stores are just a few examples. The possibilities are vast and in addition to this you could be working in remote environments for example in telephone, mail order and on-line retail. The UK’s retail sector is vibrant and offers many opportunities for early career progression. Example job roles include visual merchandiser supervisor, style advisor, department manager, store manager and many more.

Retail Skills Apprenticeship

Retail covers all kinds of businesses, from national chains and large superstores to market stalls and independent shops. As an apprentice, your role will depend on your employer – you could be assisting customers on the sales floor of a high street store or handling their purchases. Scaling Networks

This course develops an understanding of the architecture, components and operations of routers and switches in large, complex networks. You will develop understanding and skills required to configure routers and switches for advanced functionality. Successful completion would enable you to configure and troubleshoot routers and switches and resolve common issues with OSPF, EIGRP, and STP in both IPv4 and IPv6 networks. You will also develop the knowledge and skills needed to implement a WLAN in a small-to-medium network. 

Social Media In Business Apprenticeship

Digital marketing and the use of social and digital media is a key part of business marketing strategies and practice today. Effective use of social media is now an established marketing tool, and helps businesses thrive. As a Social Media for Business Apprentice, your exact duties will depend on your employer. It's likely that you'll be working within a marketing or ICT department, with a team or member of staff to handle various tasks. You may be managing and monitoring online communities, ensuring effective customer conversation, communication and engagement, using the internet to promote and market the business or assist in the integration of social media platforms. Warehousing & Storage Apprenticeship

A warehouse operative plays an important support role within a business organisation. The economy relies on the efficient movement of goods within the UK to ensure that goods arrive on time and in the right condition and warehousing and storage play a crucial part in making this happen. The warehousing industry is part of a wider logistics sector which employs around 8% of the workforce in England.
