About the course
This Level 1 Award in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care qualification is a nationally recognised qualification which enables candidates to apply for jobs within the care sector. This qualification is extremely useful for anyone who wants to work in the care industry. By the end of the course you will have learnt the theory elements of Adult Social Care and have gained valuable employability skills. Units covered are;
In addition you will also achieve a Level 2 Award in Awareness of Dementia qualification which enables you to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in essential areas such as awareness of dementia, equality, diversity, inclusion and individual rights.
There are a variety of roles available within the care sector. Direct care roles include;
- Care worker
- Personal Assistant
- Community support and Outreach worker
- Activities Co-ordinator
You can also apply for non-direct roles such as administration roles including finance, HR and marketing.
