About the course
This course is aimed at learners who can use predefined or commonly used IT tools for activities that are straightforward or routine. The qualification helps you build your skills and gain the confidence you need to work effectively with computers. This qualification would be suitable for anyone who works or aspires to work with IT systems and wants to progress their careers and has a good understanding of the basic Microsoft packages.
There are no formal IT qualifications required to complete this course. However, you must have a good understanding of how to use the basic functions of the core Microsoft packages. In addition to this you must have a good understanding of the English language both written and verbal.

How will I be assessed?
You will learn through teacher-led classroom based teaching and practical exercises using relevant IT software. Lessons are interactive with a mixture of independent study and group exercises. Some independent study will be required for the duration of the course.
Assessment is through the completion of classroom based practical assignments for each unit studied and tutor observation.
