Funding Your Course

If you're aged 19 or over and you want to study A Levels, an Access to Higher Education Diploma, or a Level 3 to 6 Vocational Qualification, you could be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan.

    About the course

    Learn the fundamental skills and knowledge common to all building services practices. Includes health and safety requirements and the communication of building services information. It offers an extensive choice and flexibility for you to demonstrate your competence in a broad variety of building services activities.

    Entry requirements

    4 GCSEs grade 2 or above including Maths & English. Positive reference from school or previous college and a minimum of 85% attendance.

    How much does it cost?

    Free to those aged 16-18. If you are aged 19+ you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

    There is a range of financial support that you may be entitled to, including: Learner Support funds, grants and bursaries and employer support.

    Why study?

    You will study wiring and terminals, fabrication techniques, and electrical science and technology. Mandatory topics covered will range from Structure of the construction industry, environmental and sustainability measures in domestic dwellings and site preparation in the construction industry.

    The qualification is assessed by:
