Core modules

Week 1 – Slashing

Using layers of varied fabrics including transparent organza and silk, combined with chopped fabric textures, whilst being embellished with sewing machine stitching. Exposing frayed details and added embellishments of beading. Enjoy creating this wonderful textile which can be used in interior design, fashion upcycling and card crafting.

Week 2 – Couching

Recycling vintage yarns to construct twisted and plated cords, then restitching onto new fabric surfaces. Use contrasting colours to make your textile pop. Great to use if you want to add bold details to a boring garment, or smarten up a plain pillow case.

Week 3 – Angelina Fibres

This stunning textile process will help you create a range of exciting outcomes, and is great when combined with slashing, embroidery and reverse appliqué. Adding sparkle with an effortless touch. Quick and easy, but always enhanced when combined with other textile processes.
