A new flexible approach to learning. Start in the New Year and you could be starting university the following year! Chef – Junior Chefs' Academy

Chefs' Academy runs for 10 weeks. For nine weeks it is on a Wednesday evening. The last week is on a Saturday for a celebration lunch.

Early Years Professional Practice BA (Hons) (Top-up)

Our exciting new Honours degree has been specially designed to meet the demands of employers in the Early Years sector, as well as the current criteria for Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), and Common Core of Knowledge and Skills for Early Years Workforce, as issued by the Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC) - the sector's PSRB. This course gives you the unique opportunity to study early childhood as an academic subject and also develop your professional portfolio by engaging with Early Years practice. Students who have successfully completed a Foundation Degree in Early Years (or an equivalent qualification) complete Year 3 of the BA (Honours) course.

Engineering HNC/D

This course provides an extensive knowledge and skills in engineering with specialist units available in Advanced Manufacturing and Automated Systems. You will be studying in the new (£11m) state-of-the-art Harlow Advanced Manufacturing Centre (HAMEC) equipped with over £2m worth of industry standard machinery and equipment. You need to be committed but there will be plenty of fun on the way. You will meet lots of like-minded people who could be good contacts in thefuture. The course comprises: news reporting, public affairs, and press law with options to study TV and radio broadcasting, including TV news, radio news and broadcast regulations. It is examination and portfolio based to help prepare you for the pressures of a newsroom, where you will be asked to draw on knowledge of press law and public affairs and be able to produce concise and accurate stories to meet deadlines.

Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools

This qualification will give you the knowledge and skills needed to work as qualified Teaching Assistant supporting children in primary, secondary or special schools. This qualification is ideal if you are interested in working as a teaching assistant or learning support assistant or are currently working in an unsupervised role that supports pupils' learning, including specialist roles. You will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement as you will need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.
