    About the course

    The NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma extends and deepens the specialist work related to Policing. There is potential for the qualification to prepare learners for appropriate direct employment into the Police Apprentice pathway. It is broadly equivalent to three A Levels. The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Policing is designed as a full time, 2-year programme for learners who wish to develop their skills and knowledge of the sector. This qualification also supports learners interested in progressing to further/higher education.

    How much does it cost?

    Free to those aged 16-18. If you are aged 19+ you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

    There is a range of financial support that you may be entitled to, including: Learner Support funds, grants and bursaries and employer support.

    A cost of £100 to cover educational visits across the year and kit. Any underspend is reimbursed to students at the end of the year.

    How will I be assessed?

    As with most vocational courses, there is a certain amount of coursework that is expected of students. However, this is done using different methods, such as; Role-play, using IT for assessment i.e. Nearpod and Padlet, Class discussion and practical discussion.

    £100 uniform.
