    About the course

    Working in the uniformed public services can be a very rewarding experience, be it on the front line of the armed forces or helping the public as a Police Community Support Officer. On this course you will learn about the skills and qualities needed to be an effective member of the services and the types of work that you would participate in. The course is mostly academic, however throughout the course you will also complete a number of practical units which will challenge and develop both your fitness and outdoor activity skills.

    4 GCSEs – 2 at grade 3 and 2 at grade 2

    How much does it cost?

    £200 for educational visits and practical uniform, which must be paid in full at the beginning of the course.

    Why study?

    This course will give you an introduction to the uniformed public services, including the skills needed to work within them. You will participate in a wide range of additional activities including team building activities, outdoor and adventurous activities, educational visits and will also be invited to talks by guest speakers from the public services.

    Where will this course take me?

    You can progress to the Level 3 (Extended) Diploma in Public Services. You will also be prepared for employment in the following areas: Police, Fire and Rescue Services, Ambulance Service, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force or Army.

    Two black pens, pencils, memory stick, notebook, two A4 ring binders, a working (home) E-mail address and practical clothing. £200 for educational visits and practical uniform, which must be paid in full at the beginning of the course.
