Studying Childcare helps you understand how babies and young children grow, learn and develop. You’ll explore how their brains, bodies and social skills change as they get older.

As part of the course, you’ll take part in a work placement – between 60 and 750 hours depending on your course level – giving you hands-on experience with different age groups.
You’ll learn about child development from conception to age seven, children’s health and wellbeing, and how to create safe, supportive environments for them to thrive in.
