Online & On Campus

We appreciate that the pace of everyday life is getting faster, which is why we’ve looked for new ways of teaching – ways that can make it easier to study alongside work and life commitments.

We want to provide courses that fit with students, rather than the other way around. Because of this, we’ve created a suite of blended learning courses to make learning more flexible.

Combining the benefits of online and classroom-based study

Online, a team of academics and experts teach the course using video lectures, animations, exercises and interactive case studies; all of which are delivered through a bespoke virtual learning environment. Lessons are available on demand in order to fit your timetable.

On campus, classes provide the opportunity to learn from experienced lecturers, who will be at hand to answer questions and provide guidance on progress and assessment. Classes will also be an opportunity to interact, discuss and debate with fellow classmates, helping with the application of theories to real world problems.

Through a flexible and enjoyable learning experience – both online and on campus – our ambition is to help you to achieve yours.

AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting

The Foundation Certificate in Accounting offers grounding in the core accounting knowledge and skills needed to progress in finance and accounting-related careers, or towards further study by offering development and formal recognition of skills.

Our blended learning approach enables students to benefit from both face-to-face teaching at Harlow College and online lessons available on demand. This approach offers a truly flexible study experience.

In addition to attending face-to-face classes fortnightly, students will be expected to undertake between 5 and 6 hours of additional study out of college.

AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting

The Advanced Diploma in Accounting will suit you if you have completed the Foundation Accounting qualification and would like to build your skills or you’re already working in finance and you’d like a more formal recognition of your skills.

In addition to attending face-to-face classes fortnightly, students will be expected to undertake between 5 and 6 hours of additional study out of college.

Law and Practice - Level 3 Certificate

This course offers unparalleled access to a flexible career as a lawyer. It provides a cost-effective way of obtaining law qualifications without having to complete a qualifying law degree (although graduates of law or non-law subjects can still choose to become a Chartered Legal Executive lawyer via this route).

If you don’t have a qualifying law degree you will need to take the Level 3 Diploma qualification, set and assessed at A level standard, and the Level 6 qualification, which is set and assessed at honours degree level.

The Level 3 Certificate in Law and Practice is the first step towards this and was developed to recognise the growing number of students who are either interested in a short but rounded introduction to Law and Practice and are aimed at those wishing to move towards a career as a solicitor.
