Skills Bootcamps: Fast-Track to Employment and Career Growth

What Are Skills Bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses designed to help adults gain in-demand skills, tailored to employer and sector needs. They’re a great opportunity to train in a new industry or progress in your current career

Who Are They For?

· You need to be 19 or over to do a Skills Bootcamp.
· You must have the right to work in the UK
· You must be a resident of Greater Essex (if you reside outside of Greater Essex but are employed within Greater Essex you may still be eligible for funding)
· You can only complete one Skills Bootcamp each financial year (1st April – 31st March)


Key Benefits

No cost for individuals: Skills Bootcamps are fully funded for individuals who meet the eligibility criteria.
Employer-endorsed training: Developed in partnership with employers to ensure relevance and job-readiness.
Guaranteed interview: If you are currently unemployed, upon successful completion you will be offered an interview with an employer linked to the Bootcamp.


How much do they cost:

For individual learners who meet the eligibility criteria, Skills Bootcamps are fully funded by the UK Government, meaning there is no cost to eligible participants.

For employers wishing to upskill their staff, a co-investment model applies:

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs): 10% contribution
Large employers: 30% contribution

The Teaching Project

Project Summary

This project concentrates on providing mentoring support and professional development to new teachers via a toolkit which includes learning, teaching, and assessment(LTA) strategies, including digital development and growth mindset, support of a trained mentor Advanced Practitioner(AP) and access to grants for subject specific CPD.
