About the course
This course equips learners with essential knowledge and skills to pursue a career in the health and social care sector. It offers a range of nationally recognised qualifications, including:
- Level 1 Introductory Award in Health and Social Care: Covers foundational topics such as personal progression planning and communication skills.
- Level 2 Dementia Awareness: Provides up-to-date understanding of dementia care, including equality, diversity, person-centred approaches, and effective communication.
- Level 1 Infection Prevention and Control: Focuses on vital practices in healthcare settings, including the use of PPE, hand hygiene, and infection control measures.
Learners will be prepared to apply for roles such as healthcare assistants, support workers, and care assistants, ready to contribute confidently in a variety of care environments.
Entry requirements
No formal entry requirements learners must be able to read and write English No formal qualifications are required but learners will be required to undertake initial assessments in English and maths.
