    This course is designed to take you from the basics to being "work-ready." Whether you are looking to refresh your knowledge or start from scratch, this course provides a supportive environment to master the essential tools used in modern workplaces.

    Entry requirements

    No formal qualifications are required but learners will be required to undertake initial assessments in English and maths and be able to turn on a digital device, use a mouse and keyboard confidently and have access to an email address. 

    Learners must be unemployed and in receipt of benefit or earning under £25,750 per annum.

    Must have a National Insurance number.

    Must have been a UK resident for the last 3 years or proof of right to education.

    Adult Skills Fund 

    This course is part of the Adult Skills Fund and is fully-funded (free) if you are 19+ and:

    • Unemployed, looking for work and in receipt of a means tested benefit
    • or been referred to Harlow College by the Job Centre
    • or in paid employment and earn below £26,800
