This qualification is suitable for those who are, or wish to become, team leaders and/or supervisors. This includes individuals who are at the start of their career that wish to become team leaders/ supervisors as well as those aspiring or existing managers who may already have developed practical experience but who wish to develop their theoretical understanding of management skills further.

There are 3 course options available if you’d like to gain a qualification in CMI Level 3 Leadership & Management: 

Level 3 CMI Leadership & Management Award - 8 weeks - Study 1 unit - £250

Level 3 CMI Leadership & Management Certificate - 16 weeks - Study 2 units - £650

Level 3 CMI Leadership & Management Diploma - 1 year - Study all units - £1800

The Diploma in Management and Leadership is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management. Staff study at college part-time and complete work-based projects as part of the course. This qualification is suitable for those who are, or wish to become, team leaders and/or supervisors. The Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management, designed for middle managers, is designed to develop personal management capabilities and grow professional management skills including decision-making, managing team dynamics and delegation capability. Learners will complete a number of units and each unit will require a piece of work to be submitted and all deadlines will be provided during the induction.

In addition to monthly classes all learners will be expected to complete independent study outside of the classroom. This varies from week to week but could include set readings, research or gathering information from within the workplace.

This Level 3 qualification is designed to provide learners with the skills and knowledge to be able to appropriately coach and mentor other learners.

The qualification strengthens the employability of learners, and can, if already employed, lead to internal advancement or provide an entry point to new training/coaching roles.

Learners would typically be employed as Trainer/Assessors, Coaches and Tutors.

The learners will gain knowledge of applying counselling skills as a counsellor, mentor and care provider.  This will include role play, group discussions and 1:1 sessions during which they will apply and practice the skills taught.  Learners will research and learn about the different theories around counselling, such as Cognitive Behaviour Theory, Person Centred Theory and   Psychodynamic as well as reflecting on practice in counselling.

The qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as a gym instructor. 

This qualification provides learners with an understanding of the knowledge needed when working directly with children and young people in a school or college environment and is aimed at those of you working in learning support or teaching assistant roles within schools and colleges. For teachers, trainers or assessors who assess the demonstration of competence in both the workplace and classroom environments, using a variety of assessment methods. This certificate consists of 3 Units (1 x knowledge-based unit and 2 x performance-based unit).

This qualification is designed for those who want to increase their knowledge and understanding of autism and completion will support progression into employment within the health and social care sector. You will gain knowledge and understanding of autism, including: how to adopt a positive approach to supporting individuals with autism, the current legislative framework relating to individuals with autism and how different theories have developed over time how to support and manage transitions for individuals with autism.
