Staff and students are celebrating after Inspectors praised Harlow College’s “relentless focus on improving learners’ progress” following an Ofsted inspection in January. This good news comes on top of the College being ranked first in the Country for A Level progress in the Department for Education Performance tables published earlier in the year.

DfE figures released on Thursday 21 January 2016 reveal that Harlow College is the leading provider for A Level provision in the country, topping the table of over 250 FE providers.

Be a Santa for a Senior have changed the lives of over 700,000 older people, providing up to an astounding 1.2 million gifts. The campaign was launched in the UK in 2012 and is sponsored by Home Instead Senior Care.

Super-fit staff and students at Harlow College are clearly feeling the benefits of a new wellbeing initiative, with the college scooping the Active Workplace of the Year Award at the recent Harlow Sports Awards 2015, organised jointly by Harlow Council and Active Harlow.

The Student of the Year award celebrates the achievements and successes of exceptional students who stand out from the crowd.
Former Harlow College Business student, Nishall Garala, was runner up in the recent awards, where the achievements of students from up and down the country were celebrated on Monday 8 February at a lavish Reception at the Parliament, hosted by Peter Kyle MP, the Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Further Education and Lifelong Learning.

Students from Harlow College have been helping to restore Harlow Town Park as part of a £2.8m regeneration programme.

The first Harlow College students to take part in the National Citizen Service (NCS) were all buzzing with confidence at the recent award ceremony. The students we spoke to about their experience had one view in common: "NCS is FUN!".
