Choices (Pathways to Further Education) 16-18 year olds

WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?

We understand that some learners may not yet know which subject they want to study. Others may have experienced interruptions to their education or had different experiences at school that have shaped where they are now.

WHAT WILL I DO?

The Choices programme is designed to help young people re-engage with education in a supportive and encouraging environment. We guide learners as they explore future courses or career pathways that suit their interests and strengths, while also helping them build confidence and self-esteem. Our aim is to ensure every learner feels prepared and ready for the next step in their chosen direction.

Depending on your needs, you will study either the Certificate or the Diploma qualification - whichever we believe will best support your progress.

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

Upon completing a Choices course, learners may enter employment in a variety of sectors or pursue further study that supports their career aspirations.

Choices Certificate

Choices is a stepping stone back into education with a supportive and nurturing environment. This programme supports young people to gain a Level 1 qualification alongside their Maths & English to support them to reintegrate into mainstream the following year.

Choices is a stepping stone back into education with a supportive and nurturing environment. This programme supports young people to gain a Level 1 qualification alongside their Maths & English. Alongside this, you will spend a day completing practical elements within the Building Service area to help prepare to go into this area the following year.
