Welcome to Maths

Motivated to develop your numeracy skills but not sure where to start? Our Numeracy Workshop is designed to help you understand what your numeracy strengths and weaknesses are and what your next steps could be. Within this 2-hour session you will complete a computer-based assessment of your numeracy skills and take away a plan for the development of your skills including resources and worksheets to support you. You will also receive further information on what courses and qualifications are available to you to continue your skills development. 

Working in Customer Service

This Level 1 Certificate for Introduction to Customer Services qualification allows you to gain the knowledge and skills required for working in customer service roles. During the course you will complete units such as applying procedures for customer service, dealing with queries and requests, recording customer problems and positive communication with customers. 

Working in the Hospitality Industry

Our Hospitality course is designed to enable progression into securing employment within the hospitality industry. On completion of the course you will gain a Level 1 Certificate in Skills for Hospitality and Catering, and a Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety. These skills are an essential requirement when working in this industry and you will also gain valuable employability skills and customer service knowledge along the way. 

During the course you will cover topics such as;

  • Health & Safety and Food Safety Awareness in Catering
  • Customer Service in the Hospitality Industry 
  • Event Planning
  • Bookings, Orders and Payments
  • Menu Planning
  • Meeting Special Dietary Needs

In addition to these skills you will also cover the importance of team work and communication skills within an employment setting, and given guidance on how to apply for a job within the hospitality sector.
