Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship

This is an apprenticeship, designed as an entry level role into the Accountancy Profession, and can lead into a variety of careers with supporting professional qualifications. The role is applicable to a wide range of employers across the sector in both large and small firms and in industry, practice and public sector.

An Assistant Accountant provides support to internal and external customers and works predominately either as an assistant accountant within practice or alternatively within the finance function of an organisation. Part of their role involves assisting in the day to day financial activities such as data entry to month end management accounts and/or year-end financial statements. In addition an Assistant Accountant may find themselves involved in regulatory financial requirements such as the completion of VAT returns or assisting in the preparation of tax computations.

Business Administration Apprenticeship

A business administrator plays an important support role within a business organisation. Administrators handle the day-to-day tasks in an office and make sure things run smoothly – 97% of employers say that effective administration is essential to their business.

As a Business Administration Apprentice, your exact duties will depend on your employer. It's likely that you'll be working with a team or member of staff to handle various tasks. You may be producing board meeting documents, putting financial information together in spreadsheets, providing marketing and event management support, sending the daily post, or faxing and photocopying confidential documents. This type of work requires a strong sense of responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail.

Customer Service Apprenticeship

A customer service advisor plays an important role within a business organisation. Employers recognise the key role customer-facing staff play in determining the quality of the customer experience and increasing customer loyalty. The economy is increasingly service-led, with more and more customer demands for better and individualised service. Employers estimated there to be 113,000 new jobs in customer service in England during 2004-2014, which is continuing to increase. As a Customer Service Apprentice, your exact duties will depend on your employer. It's likely that you'll be working with a team or member of staff to handle various tasks. You may be communicating effectively with customers face to face, in writing, or by telephone, resolving problems and improving customer relations, promoting products and services, keeping records, gathering customer feedback. This type of work requires strong communication, negotiation and flexibility skills. Events Assistant Apprenticeship

An Events Assistant is an entry level position, typically working within a team of people in an events company or within the events department of a larger organisation. This course involves the development and demonstration of skills and knowledge across 3 broad areas: operational, professional and commercial.

Fashion & Retail Level 4

This qualification offers broad but in-depth knowledge and skills in preparation for work in the fashion retail sector and has been designed to balance practical and creative skills with theoretical studies. Work placement opportunities and industry led projects are a strong element of studying this qualification and will allow students to gain a comprehensive view of fashion retail work opportunities, enabling them to enter this area of the industry.

Fashion Business & Retail Award – Part-time

This is an introduction to aspects of the fashion business and retail industry such as buying and selling, production, promotion and visual merchandising. The learning for this course will be delivered as part of a studio and computer room environment which will introduce the basic elements essential to an understanding of the fashion retail sector. Students will be introduced to the impact of ethical, political, economic, social and technological influences in the development of the fashion industry.

Fashion Business & Retail Diploma

Learn about all aspects of the fashion business and retail industry, including the diversity of roles and activities within the fashion retail sector, and the skills needed for a career in fashion. You will study buying and selling, production and visual merchandising. At the end of the course you will devise an assignment of personal interest and prepare for progression within a chosen discipline.

Fashion Business & Retail Diploma/Extended Diploma

The structure of the course, with units linked to provide coherence, allows students to synthesise newly acquired practical skills with theoretical knowledge and understanding, as they explore their aptitude and ambition and the particular characteristics of a broad range of fashion business and retail disciplines. Students will be encouraged to recognise, not only the unique characteristics of different disciplines, but also the dynamic and potentially innovative relationships between those disciplines.

IT Application Specialist Apprenticeship

The IT specialist role plays an important support role within a business organisation. IT application specialists provide support and assistance to colleagues to make effective use of available IT systems and software. IT user skills are required for over 72% of job roles and over 90% of new posts specially require IT user skills. As an IT Application Specialist Apprentice, your exact duties will depend on your employer. It's likely that you'll be working with a team or member of staff to handle various tasks. You may be providing support to other staff members, working on a helpdesk, creating and amending many types of formatted information including documents, diagrams, spreadsheets and presentations. This type of work requires a strong sense of responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail. One of the great things about IT Application Specialist is that you can work almost anywhere, with your transferable skills; you could be working in an IT systems centre, large global organisation or maybe a small independent company.

Law A Level (BTEC Certificate & Subsidiary Diploma)

The BTEC Law course gives you an understanding of the English legal system and will not only give you a taste of what it is like to study law but also what it is may be like to work in the legal profession. This course is designed to provide you with the skills that you will require working in the legal sector. However it is also a recognised Level 3 qualification which is accepted by most universities. This qualification may be mixed with other AS/A2 Levels to provide access to higher education, or used directly to help secure employment within various sectors, including the legal sector.

Operations/Departmental Manager Level 5 Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship has been designed to provide access to development opportunities for as wide a range of individuals as possible. This includes individuals who are at the start of their career and who wish to take their first steps into professional management, as well as those who may already have developed practical experience but who wish to develop their theoretical understanding of management skills.

On completion, apprentices can register as full members with the Chartered Management Institute and/or the Institute of Leadership & Management, and those with 3 years’ of management experience can apply for Chartered Manager status through the CMI.

Recruitment Resourcer Apprenticeship

The recruitment resourcer apprenticeship is aimed at someone who works within a recruitment function of an organisation. Their role is to identify, attract and shortlist candidates for the recruitment process to fulfil the requirements of the business brief and provide resourcing support to the recruitment function. They may also be required to identify new business opportunities.
