Automation & Controls Engineering Technician Apprenticeship

Automation and Controls engineering technicians typically will be part of a multi-disciplinary team for example as a member or leader of a project team, maintenance team, service team that will work alongside other stakeholders for example design, production or coordination that interfaces with internal and external customers alike.  Monitoring of the operation of these systems can be carried out either within in-situ control rooms/offices or remotely via web based/GPRS based mobile communications.

Engineering (General)

This course provides you with a theoretical grounding in engineering and will give you a broad understanding of the huge possibilities within the engineering industry. It allows you to move on to higher education or to an advanced apprenticeship where you can further specialise.

Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship

This course provides an extensive knowledge and skills in engineering with specialist units available in Advanced Manufacturing and Automated Systems. You will be studying in the new (£11m) state-of-the-art Harlow Advanced Manufacturing Centre (HAMEC) equipped with over £2m worth of industry standard machinery and equipment. We work closely with industry to ensure our courses meet the requirements of employers.

Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship (Machinist – Advanced Manufacturing Engineering)

If you're keen to earn while you learn an apprenticeship is for you. The apprenticeship in Engineering is designed to meet the skills needs of employers. Apprenticeships are offered at Advanced and Higher level. Each level is designed to enable you to gain technical knowledge and real practical experience, along with functional and interpersonal skills. You'll learn these through a mix of learning in the workplace, formal off the job training and the opportunity to practice and embed new skills in a real work situation.

Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship – Mechatronics Maintenance

They may specialise in areas such as mechanical, electronic, or electrical engineering. Employers range from small to large businesses who deliver or require maintenance support. Typical workplaces include private and public sector manufacturing factories. You will be studying in the new (£11m) state-of-the-art Harlow Advanced Manufacturing Centre (HAMEC) equipped with over £2m worth of industry standard machinery and equipment.
