Occupation Summary
The Hardware, Network and Infrastructure Foundation Apprenticeship provides learners with a practical introduction to the essential components of modern IT systems. Designed for college students, this course blends classroom learning with real-world experience to develop foundational skills in maintaining, supporting, and securing computer hardware and networks.
Course Overview
Over the duration of the apprenticeship, learners will explore key areas such as:
- Technical skills: Develop practical expertise in hardware, network, and infrastructure operations.
- Systems support: Support the monitoring and maintenance of IT and telecommunications systems and platforms.
- Technical Support and Customer Service: Providing technical support to internal and external customers
- Problem Resolution and Troubleshooting: Identifying and diagnosing common hardware and network issues
- Professional Skills Development: Communication, problem-solving, and teamwork in a technical support setting.

Your end point assessment will consist of the following elements:
- Knowledge test
- Practical test
