Our courses offer a range of content, and are designed to reflect the industry. Students on our TV and Film course might find themselves doing anything from shooting and editing adverts, to music videos, or horror movies. Whilst students on our Journalism course will find themselves producing material for news and magazines, or writing and presenting journalistic content for TV and radio, or podcating. Our Social Media students will find themselves working across a range of platforms, either generating original content for a range of different clients or for themselves as they seek to develop themselves as a brand. Finally, our Creative Writing students not only write and develop stories for long and short form novels, but also produce scripts for TV and radio, write children’s stories, poetry, and theatre productions. No matter what you choose, all of our courses offer students a range of opportunities to acquire work experience and to work with real clients, whether it be developing film, TV, or social media content, writing articles and news stories, or developing plays for theatre companies to perform.
WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?
There are many opportunities for talents and creative individuals in the media, journalism, and publishing industries. Previous students have gone on to become published authors, journalists, news editors, radio and TV presenters, film and TV crew, including editors, producers, and directors, and publishing. In recent years, social media has represented one of the fastest growing industries with many students securing creative and executive positions with a range of companies. Students wishing to continue their studies have progressed onto the NCTJ, university, or apprenticeships in related subjects.
